Once you become newly injured in the Spinal Cord Injury community, social media becomes a blessing in finding others who are going thru a similar situation simply by typing #spinalcordinjury. That's how I originally learned about one of my now best gal pals, Amanda Perla... I know personally how strong Amanda is after having met her years ago as we are both Ambassadors for the Wings For Life World Run. But that strength is, without a doubt, in her blood and comes from the strength her mother shows day in and day out. This mother/daughter duo turned their tragedy into an opportunity to help others in a similar situation. After we go to traditional physical therapy & our insurance runs out, what now?
