Orlando native, David, now 38, was in Alabama in September 2014 to celebrate one of his best buddies getting married. He was in the wedding party and everyone decided to jump in the pool at the venue after the reception. David dove in, hit his head on the bottom of the pool and sustained a spinal cord injury, paralyzing him from the neck down.
